In the final, Tim Sears JR took the win as he drove Larry Wight's second car with the number 83x. Sears took the lead on lap 15 after a caution on lap 13. Two laps into the restart, Sears passed Kerr's 07 to take the lead. On lap 20, Jimmy Phelps, in the HBR Racing 98H, gave it his all to get ahead of Sears, followed by Kerr. On lap 26 another yellow flag was given, regrouping the peloton and ensuring a great close battle with Phelps for the final laps. Sears in the 83x was just too strong in the end, allowing him to go for the checkered flag. Photo credit: Don Simpson Photo credit: Don Simpson
