Northeast Racing Products Auction Trade Show and Swap Meet Offered Something for Everyone

This past week, the first annual Northeast Racing Products Auction Trade Show and Swap Meet was held at the famed New York State Fair Grounds. The two-day event was in conjunction with the DIRTcar awards banquet, held just a few short blocks away.
The event hosted vendors from around the nation as well as Canada, showing off the latest and greatest in new racing technology. Sprinkled in amongst the vendors were some great used parts displays, racetrack promotions, along with an auction area at the east side of the pavilion.
Bicknell, Teo Pro Race Cars and Troyer Race Cars were on hand with some outstanding displays, which drew large crowds at each of the booths along with some of the best drivers in the sport looking over what was being offered for 2018 .
There were also some terrific safety gear presentations from Leaf Racewear and K1 RaceGear fire suits. But Kirkey Race Fabrication had a great hands-on display of their racing seats lineup, where people could try out the different configurations of their products and show how important race seats pose in the safety equipment world.
The Lafrance brothers from Canada, each displaying their new products, with Yves Lafrance with his “Lafrance Performance” booth demonstrating his latest in performance engines, while brother Stephane, demonstrating his new tire-prepping tool over at “Trick Performance.”
The Center of Progress Pavilion, the host of the show, had every facet of racing parts imaginable, from shocks, to wheels, to drive trains, providing racers and fans alike the one-stop venue for upgrading their racing stable or for the fans to mingle with their favorite drivers. Dirt Track Digest also presented a seminar on promotions and journalism in the racing world for current and inspiring journalists alike.
The show undauntedly was very successfully and informative, but there was one display that stood out from the others — the Troyer translucent cut away car of Peter Britten. The display was placed strategically to welcome racers and fans as they entered the event. The clean high tech car spoke volumes to demonstrate the sport is advancing in a very popular, highly technical fashion and that dirt track racing is on the rise.
I am sure that all eyes will be on next year’s event and what new high tech equipment will be offered up to the cutting edged racers and fans.
