The 26th edition of the “Hurricane 100” is only a few days
away The version française ici On October 4, the top 358 Modified drivers will gather to battle it out at Brewerton Speedway for the coveted Hurricane 100 Final presented by Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux along with SUNY Canton. This will undoubtedly be one of the most prestigious 358 races in the country and it will once again be part of the Super Dirt Week satellite race schedule. Over the past twenty-six years, some of the biggest names in Modified have visited victory lane at the Hurricane 100. Riders such as Billy Decker, Danny Johnson and Brett Hearn will once again answer the call for the 26th this year's edition. Not to be outdone, some of Canada's top 358 riders, such as 2018 Mr. DIRTcar winner Steve Bernier, Danny O'Brien, Steve Bernard and others who will challenge their southern neighbors for this coveted race and see who will be the first northerner to bring victory home. Last year, Chad Brachmann finally got the win. After a fierce battle with veteran driver Pat Ward for most of the race, Brachmann on lap 68 took control of the race and headed for the finish line.
There will also be the presence of the DIRTcar Sportsman series with some of the best Sportsman drivers from Canada and the United States. They will fight on the 1/3 mile “d” shaped oval. Last year, more than fifty cars took part in this highly anticipated race and the end of the race was one of the tightest in history, with Dave Marcucilli crossing the line just ahead of Glenn Forward followed by Tyler Trump who finished third. The 26th edition of the Hurricane 100 is sure to be one of those races, as in years past, that will be remembered and talked about long after it is over.
