The return of the $2,500 Shoot-Out at Can-Am!
Can-Am Speedway to Host "Pabst $2,500 Shoot-Out" - Wednesday, July
4 July 4 will see the return of the $2,500 "Pabst Shoot-Out" for Modified 358s, which last ran 18 year. This event, as in the past, will surely attract many pilots from the Northeastern United States and Canada to fight for the $2,500 purse. Only 24 cars can qualify for the "Shoot-Out" and a chance to collect the top prize. On the same night, Can-Am will once again host the $2,500 "Pabst Shoot-Out" for the Empire Super Sprints. This is the first race for the ESS Series Speed Week Tour in 2018. This series always attracts the best drivers competing to win the series championship.
Photo credit: Don SimpsonKicking off the "Pabst Shoot-Out" event on July 4 will be the "Fan Fest" starting at 3:00 p.m. Fans can enjoy live music from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and can buy a cold beer and good food at one of the concessions. Fans can also sit back and enjoy great music. All of this will be capped off with a meet and greet session where fans can meet some of the drivers and see some of the cars competing. Engine warm-up for the Sprints begins at 6:15 p.m., followed by qualifying at 6:30 p.m. The races start at 7:00 p.m. A fireworks display to celebrate the national holiday of July 4 will close the activities.
