A 5th victory for Bernier at Airborne!
Bernier wins at Airborne Speedway
La version française ici Steve Bernier takes his fifth victory of the season at Airborne Park Speedway. The Saint-Hyacinthe, Que., native arrived late as he and the team had to change the engine of the car before the race, which had been damaged the previous night at Autodrome Granby. The time spent in practice allowed Steve to test the car, and it was clear that adjustments were needed. In qualifying, Bernier was fast but couldn't catch Chris Raabe who won the qualifying in his group, showing that further adjustments were needed.

During the race, the engine was damaged, so we took our time to replace the engine and we were unable to make the necessary adjustments to ride at Airborne. We had a good idea of what was needed for the setup of the car tonight and it will be good to drive in the final, continued Steve. Bernier started mid-pack in the final, but by lap 15 he had taken the lead. Apart from a caution at the end of the race which regrouped the peloton for a final restart towards the winner's circle, Bernier dominated the race by taking the victory easily.
