Tripleheader Weekend Set for Mohawk International Raceway and Cornwall Motor Speedway

Three days of racing are set to invade Mohawk International Raceway and Cornwall Speedway on September 13-15. The weekend will kick off with the annual two days of racing at Mohawk International Raceway on September 13-14 with the Big-Block Super DIRTcar Series closing out the season for Mohawk on Saturday, September 14.

September 13 will see the DIRTcar 358-Modified Series come to town for the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino 100 along with the Pro Stock Series Frenchies Chevrolet 50. September 14 will see some of the best in DIRTcar racing come to town for the Super Dirtcar series Frenches Chevrolet 100. There will also be the DIRTcar Sportsman series 100-lap race, sponsored by Frenchies Chevrolet.

Once the races are done on Saturday, then it’s just a short drive across the Seaway International Bridge to Cornwall Motor Speedway for the final round of the Fat Les’ Canadian Nationals for the 358 Modifieds with $5000 to win on Sunday, September 15.

The race was initially scheduled for Sunday, September 1, but due to persistent rain during the event, officials decided to reschedule the running of all feature races to the 15th. All race entries have been frozen along with the drivers starting positions.

The final round of the Canadian Nationals will see 27 358 Modifieds take the green flag to do battle for 125 laps to crown the 2019 champion of the Fat Les’ Canadian Nationals.

Also on the card that night will be the 25 lap Sportsman feature race, the 25-lap Pro Stock feature race and the final 25-lap feature for Mini- Stocks.

Wristbands purchased on Sunday, September 1, will be honoured for this event, therefore, please bring them with you to the event.
