Shane Pecore wins the Highbank Holdup 50 at Fulton Speedway
Version française ici Shane Pecore will seek victory at Fulton Speedway during the Highbank Holdup by dominating the final of 50 laps. With 56 Sportsman in the pits at Fulton Speedway, Pecore's father and son racing team had to work really hard to go for the win. The 24-year-old, who suffered a disappointing end to last season, would show who was boss at Fulton. By setting the best time in his group during the time trial in addition to earning his qualification, this would set the stage for the final. Once the green flag was given Shane started to move up the field and on lap 11 he took the lead and he never looked back. Yes, there were a few yellows along the way, but each time Shane picked up where he left off.
By lap 40, Shane was starting to roll among the stragglers, forcing him to race in the middle of the track, where big holes had formed during the evening. This change benefited Matt Janczuk with the #33x car and Kevin Root #34. As the race progressed and to avoid the holes that had formed, I started to roll down the track, but once caught up with the stragglers I had to go higher while trying to watch out for the holes so as not to make a puncture. He added that you had to finish a race to be able to win it and finally the new car worked perfectly and he won.
